I love March Madness!
My favorite spring sport to watch is also my favorite sporting event of the year: the Men’s NCAA basketball tournament. I have watched the tournament on cable tv for over 25 years and it is truly the greatest show on earth. March Madness is a three-week season of bliss. The majority of the games are intense and competitive. The passion and fanfare is unmatched. It’s fun to become familiar with players I’ve never seen before. I always enjoy rooting for the underdog, although my favorite team, the Duke Blue Devils, is one that many college basketball fans love to hate. I enjoyed seeing Butler compete so well against Duke in the 2010 Men’s final, but Duke prevailed. The great thing about watching the games on satellite TV is that I can watch games that may not be shown in my region. It has been well documented that job productivity goes down during the first week of the tournament. Thursday and Friday of the tournament’s opening week of should be a national holiday. I love it!
